water keeps pumping over the open vent?

it is not the pump if the boiler thermostat is out of calibration then that could cause the water temperature to increase to boiling point resulting in the water coming out of the expansion pipe
are the radiators warmer than normal and also the hot water do you here the boiler shutting down if not then i would suggest that the boiler thermostat needs replaced
