My boiler is dripping underneath periodically during this cold weather. The water and central heating are unaffected ? Is this the condensate pipe being frozen?
If so why didnt boiler shut down?
I had the same problem found out it was a loose nut on the pipework .tightened up, no more loss of water. Result boiler ran did not have to re-pressurize system, Sorted. Not even the engineer from vaillent could find the problem because it was such a small leak.
All the best buddy.

the boiler will shut down if the condensate trap gets full, but it can't get full if it's leaking be thankful it is leaking consider the alternative
