We purchased a 06 plate renault grand scenic 1.6 in august this year. Ever since we have had it, if ever we use the heater we get a curry smell in the car. Two days ago the radio suddenly stopped working and then this evening the car has completely died. No electrics, nothing!!! Have changed the battery in the key and still no joy. seem to have a ticking noise under the engine even though its completely dead. Can anyone give me some advice please???
I had a similar problem - took it to the garage as was told that the battery needed replacing, but the problem was still there with the new battery - it would start from cold but after driving it for a while if I turned the ignition off, I would not be able to re-start it and would hear a ticking noise coming from the engine. Had the starter motor replaced and this had fixed the problem.
