I have a Sharp TV VCR DVD combo that started to flash this little red light?

I have a Sharp TV VCR DVD combo that started to flash this little red light on the front that reads tamper proof. I thought that it was due to my tape now being stuck in it but when I removed the tape by taking it apart it still does the tamper proof thing... never been droped or gotten wet what gives? T_T I miss my TV help please....
