Van wont start?

hi having trouble starting ford transit t reg 1999 3litre
diesil turns over ok but no smoke coming from tail pipe.
checked fuel is still getting to engine ok water and oil ok too any ideas

dont think they done a 3l,isnt it a 2.5di?take some timing cover bolts out and check the timing belt is ok,open up a couple of injector pipes and check fuel is up to there when cranking over,make sure the filter is full of fuel manually fill if not,and try a spray of easy start to give it a helping hand
