Mend Maytag Atlantis Worked Fine

Water spillage/backup from drain?

Have a 2001 Maytag Atlantis Oversize washer that has worked fine until about 2 months ago...water splashes out of drain when the machine spins the water out in every cycle. The drain line is clear (snake and water pressure tested were both ok). I have to stop the machine and let the water drain....and there is a "sucking" sound each time. Someone suggested that a roof vent may be blocked...any suggestions?

Hello,

Maybe check the drain hose is not stuck way down the drain pipe. It needs a loose fit to breathe.
