MX194 Dishwasher not proceeding?

I have an MX194 dishwasher. Recently it started flashing the three red lights and beeping. I gave it a good flush out with water and checked all the filters etc, turned on and off repeatedly and the three lights went away, but now the machine starts, sounds like it is draining, then just makes a hum for a long time. When I open the door, it is warm and steamy but the dishes aren't washed. I checked the float behind the brown panels, bone dry!

Any help???
