Mend Volkswagen Golf GTI 1998 Brake Light

1998 VW Golf GTI E brake light lit, ABS light lit, other items inoperative?

The E brake light stays on. The ANS light is on. When E brake light is lit, wipers, headlights, AC inoperative. this happens when driving vehicle in gear or idle curbside. removed e brake siwtch, open when not depressed, shorted when pressed. still same indication when removed from ckt.

Hello check the ALTENATOR for lose or broken wire. VW's are known for going through wiring.
