Mend Ford Mondeo Start Ignition Dashboard

2001 Ford Mondeo wont start?

My Daughters Mondeo wont start, when the ignition is turned all the dials on the dashboard go to max and outside temp shows 44degrees (we live in England and its about 5 degrees) then everything goes to zero but it wont start...any ideas or advice would be brilliant thanks as I need to know is it going to really expensive to fix
