Mend Potterton EP2001 Boiler Controller Time

potterton controler ep2001 has a fast moving clock?

my old potterton controler ep2001 counts down minutes in 30 seconds instead of 60 seconds. Time flys but this is rediculous. any idea or is it time for a new one?
