Mend Baxi Solo Panel Clicking Off

boiler/control panel clicking on/off?

i have a baxi solo powered flue (not combi) with a drayton tempus 3 controller, the boiler keeps clocking on and off in short intervals, at the same time the controller reading 'ON' dissapears fromt the contollers readout although the arrow still points to on.any ideas where to start, could it be the controller or a fault with the boiler?

Baxi Baxi Solo Heating, Home Heating Systems Panel Clicking Off

the timer was faulty, it was an old acl drayton tempus 3 and is obsolete, the new version is a tempus 6 and is a straight swap, just unclip the old one and the new one clips straight onto the old ones back plate easy as that, two min job, cost fifty quid from screwfix, make sure you turn the power off first though!!
