what do I do when the water gauge indicator light stays on?

What do you do when the red water gauge indicator comes on and the coolant level in the car is ok? The car is a Citroen Saxo Desire 1.1 petrol.

Just an air lock normally,have too bleed the engine when its hot to get rid of it :-)
