leaking front pump seal on reco injector pump?

I bought a 98 transit with a reconditioned injector pump. Three months later fuel started leaking from the front of the pump. My ford dealer wants $700.00 just to remove and replace pump only and I cant find anyone prepared to fix just front seal. They all want fully reco pump again for $2500.00.
