Mend BT Synergy 4500 Cordless Phone Handset Problem

bt syenergy 4500 wont answer on the 3rd phone help please?

the 3rd phone upstairs sometimes rings then cuts off when you pick it up there is nothing but yet i dont have this problem with my other 2 handsets help please i am getting demented with this as i have to run downstairs to answer the phone x
