After a power cut of about 2-3 hours, we found the dryer "dead" electrically speaking when the juice came back on. Checked fuse OK. Unplugged it a few times. Pressing buttons at random occasionally causes it to make a high pitched tone for a seconds and/or some or all of the lights on the panel to light up for a few seconds before going off again. Checked filters are all clear etc. - done everything in the troubleshooting bit of the manual.
