Bought 3 months ago and worked well until today when unable to dial out. Does receive calls but they cannot hear my voice very well and I cannot hear them at all just a mumble with a lot of crackling. Line has been checked with another phone and it is perfect. Both cordless phones are defective. The phones are fully charged. The phone is a BT Studio Plus 5500 bought at Argos in June of this year.
Sounds like your having the same issue as me, Bought mine last August but cant find the reciept and no longer have the box, Can I still take them back to Argos?

Take them back to Argos under the Sale of Goods Act. Under that Act the retailer has to prove that the goods are NOT faulty rather than you having to prove that they are!
