Mend Craftsman Oil Smoke Air

Why does my Craftsman string trimmer blow oil out the filter and smoke?

My Craftsman string trimmer blows oil out the air filter and hascontinuous white smoke. I use fresh gas cut to the proper gas/oil blend. It's a 13 year old model, has worked well up to this point. Thanks!!
