i have a golf and the fan only works on number four help?

there is a resistor which allows you to have the different setings I think its located under the glove box somewhere on the blower motor try replacing this or could be the switch itself. if you ring or drop in to your local scrap/ breakers yard they should know stright away what u need for your model and may have replacement one, then you can go looking for the part on your car and replace it! hope this is helpful GOOD LUCK!
