ldv convoy missing when running and needs fuel pumping through in mornings?

yes sounds like filter head could be faulty [if it's one with hand primer on] but also there was a mod on 2.5 transit engine to swap leak off from front to back injector,for this you will need a new length of leak off pipe.this was to cure misfiring and needing bleeding to rectify![ convoy has ford 2.5 transit and transit duratorque engines,ldv 400 has peugeot and land rover 2.5 engines fitted-dont think peugeot fitted to convoy.]

you could check for the fuel system drawing air,pay particular attention to pipes in the engine compartment and the filter head also,check for chaffing and splits,loose unions etc,good luck
