mda t-mobile?

Every time I switch on my MDA T-mobile phone on the 'Today' page are the listing menu, one which is voice mail and has a blue picture of a tape Icon to the right of screen. I click on this Icon only to find when it enters voicemail, a comand display/label shows with 'End call'. How can it be in a call to 1571 without me dialing the number? I only found it out when my pocket of my sweat top started talking to me. I've now removed the battery in case I get an horendous bill from BT. [T-Mobile] am I an idiot and turning on voice mail by clicking on the tape icon? I'm very advanced in years and was used to the old dial phones but found them too heavy for the pocket and the cable was never long enough...he! he!
