Mend Champion 3.5 Petrol Spark Plug Air Filter

i have a champion petrol mower which starts then runs for about 3 or 4 secs then dies,have checked air filter,fuel filter spark plug all cables took front plate off checked valves,going in and out ok.changed fuel in case water in fuel,still the same,can anyone please help.

thank you very very much unknown person for coming up with the answer,I dismissed that possibility as the filter was spotless mind you I am senile so I forget lots,haven't touched a carb for years all this fuel injection,anyway thanks a bunch the mower is going lovely cheers mate.

take carburetor off and clean it out and check main jet
