my peugeot 206 handbreak stopped working ?

my peugeot 206 handbreak stopped working.ive taken off the cover only to find the cables have come off the handle.not only that the cables are really slack
they seem to have come loose the other end or are they snapped. where are they attached to at th other end.

I am guessing you have a drum brake on this,these will have to come off for a look,remove the centre hub nut for removal and get someone to pull the h/brake on slowly and check the shoes are applying pressure to the drums,check each one in turn,would advise to fit genuine cables to this if they are faulty,have had problems in the past with cables from a motor factors for peugeots
