Mend Smeg SUK61MFX5 Electric Heating Element

smeg suk61mfx5 blowing fuses?

My smeg cooker's electric oven heats up fine but after 5 minutess or so, the fuse in the fuse box will blow.

I'm guessing the elemnt must somehow have failed in such a way that it only shorts out when hot but I was wondering if anyone else has any ideas?
