how do i drain fuel from ford mondeo TDCI?

I put petrol in my diesel car and would like to drain off most of the fuel

i tried hand pump and a bit off syphoning (suckiing fuel through pipe) but dont think pipe would go all the way (anti-syphoning bend) in the end i just keept filling with diesel topping it up when space arose. only put ten pounds in ...........there is a small risk of fuel pump orinjector damage hope this helps
