my power steering is squeeling as i reverse ?

my power steering is sqeeeling as i reverse and ive been told belt is loose how do i tighten the belt and is it hard to do

I can't figure out why the direction of the car would have an effect on the noise. I have had brake squeal only in reverse. Are you sure its power steering noise? To verify try removing the P.S. belt to see if noise is still present.
