vw passat quick temperature raising?

I have VW passat highline 2.0 tdi 2009, i have noticed from last two days that my cars temperature rise very quickly after even very first start in the morning, I drive the car ideally but just after half a mile the temperature gauge goes in the middle and the cooling fan comes on. Please help and thanks in advance..

yes its stays in the middle but it never happens before that temperature rise that quickly i mean just after 2 miles ideally ride and fan comes on. I have noticed a little change of engine sound as well.

you might have a faulty water pump this stops the water circulating
