How do I get my Hotpoint oven door back on?

I have a 20-year old Hotpoint range model KE53WKT-4. We had to move it to paint in behind and in so doing, the door came off. The hinges are on the door. It's the 2-part hinge system with a clip that's to be moved one way or another to be in a "rest position" whatever THAT means haha. Can anybody help?
