plain tiles?

first batten 5 inches from facia measure from top front of facia to top of batten this is for the eve tile (smallest tile } then 8inches from facia for first tile wich will cover eve tile then mesaure from top of second batten to approx 1 inch away from wall then divide result by 4 inches. example if 2ft then 6 battens at 4 inches u can stretch them to 4 and a half inches if need be.then lay a course of eves on top of last course of tiles. nibs will hold them on or you can use a batten up to you. little tip on plain tilling the 3rd tile weathers the first tile. mesurments for first 2 courses are if you are using 25x38 batten

normally about fourand three quarters depending on tiles small tiles rosmary tiles are the ones i have on my roof,if larger tiles you would have to give the name of them there are so many types
