toyota avensis d4d loss of power +cutting out?

Have the ERG vales and manifold cleaned out. Start there. My Toyota Avensis T 4D starts first time then after approximately a quarter of a mile it shuts down. I switch on and off the ignition and it is fine the rest of the day. I have had it checked out three times on different test equipment none of which provided the answer. I scoured this site and others and what I am suggesting is the resultant from that search. I will have my ERG valves claened and if it does not work then it is goodbye Toyota. I even contacted Mr Toyoda the president of Toyota to no avail.

I wouldn't advise buying from a scrapyard depending on what you buy - certainly not injectors. It cost me £100 at a Toyota main dealer to put my Avensis on test. They never found the fault. I have replaced the fuel rail, the fuel filter and the starter. These vehicles are too complicated for most mechanics. I am thinking on getting rid of mine.

What year is it? Could be ERG vales, Temp. sensor to ECU or hot wire problem to airflow sensor. Do not rush in. ERG valve cost £900 x2 = 1800.

try getting parts from good scrappy, or look in yellow pages for car dismantlers, some are connected via the internet and send parts to you at a reasonable cost.
