Mend Briggs & Stratton 40 Engine Mower

briggs and stratton wont stay running ??? ?

ive got a mower with a briggs and stratton 40 engine on it , it will start and run for about 5 to 10 seconds then stops and i will have to prime it then it will do the same again please help
