Mend Hotpoint 440 Washing Machine Vibration Noise

Hotpoint Aquarius 440 spin problems?

At the start of the spin cycles, my washing machine thrashes about, banging into adjacent units and making a very loud noise, 'walks' its way out into the kitchen then seems to complete the wash programme normally. This has happened twice now and I'm almost afraid to try using it again!!
