Mend Singer 834 Sewing Machine

Thread bunching up on a Singer Stylist 834?

My sewing machine does not want to work with me. It sometimes bunches thread up under the fabric and will not feed the material thru.

I would check tensions top and bottom, those machiines are very fussy with adjustments, maker sure you only use a mercerised thread.
