Mend Boiler Heating Gas Ignition

status light flashes green?

I have often for the last two weeks thought the boiler is on in the afternoon and when look the light is not on the controllers and the gas hasn"t ignited.The only thing is it sounds like it is on and the status light which is normally orange and still, goes to flashing green when I hear the boiler is possibly on.could you advise me if something is wrong please?
