Mend Cannon Chichester Stays If Turned

The ignition stays on if the oven is turned on?

We had a power cut in the area, and when the electricity came back on, the cooker ignition stayed on if the ovens were on. We can't stop it clicking. It is a Cannon Chichester gas cooker. Can anyone help?
