Mend Gilera Runner Rev Air Flow

my rev cable to the air flow on a gilera runner?

ive fitted my rev cable but the other cable conected to the controlled air flow just moves the the air flow bit about an inch so there is no air can anyone help

erghhhhh im confused !do you mean you have fitted a new throttle cable and the other cable joined to it (being the oil pump cable)has oo much free play in it?
