how can i fix my 1998 renault cleo?

I have a renault cleo 118 1.2 petrol injection car it has allways been a good starter both hot and cold but over the last week it has developed a fault. The engine turnes over and over and eventuataly it fires and starts. This fault is when the car is hot or nas not been run. help
