Mend Scantronic 9651 Alarm Problem System Set

Scantronic 9651 Alarm problem - System does not set?

I have a Scantronic 9651 alarm fitted with 9930 keypad. I set the alarm but when I press A (Arm button) and exit the door, the alarm beeps but the beeping exit tone does not stop when door closes. So, the system does not set. On the panel, the following is flashing: "FRONT DOOR" and "ZONE Flt Z01" Any ideas. Thanks

Hi Vince the contact on your front door probably needs replacing, The Scantronic 9651 is a Grade 2 control panel so you may have resistors fitted on the contact so be careful, as you may well solve one problem and create another.

At a wild stab in the dark, perhaps your front door is zone 1 and it has a fault on it. Stranger things have happened.

It is a fault on that circuit get in an alarm engineer to fix it.
