How can I fix my sewing machine?

My sewing machine is a New Home, Model ML 3023. It works well except that it will not go in reverse. I press the bar on the front arm but it continues to go forward.

Hello Sandi,
You may need to get into the inside so you can spray some WD40 on the stitch length mechanism, if that fails it will mean a shop repair.
