How can I fix my fiat ducato 2.8 jtd gearbox?

My Ducato 2002 2.8 jtd motorhome has only done 22,000 miles and it has a 5 speed manual gearbox it just lost 5th gear what could cause it and could it be adjustment.

You can find Recon gearbox for 650-800 quid + delivery.
