pc turns off after getting to front page?

when i turn on my pc and it gets to the front page ok.....the blue taskbar at the bottom of screen turns white (like safe mode colour)....then the pc turns off. Sometimes it works properly, but most of the time, it will just shut off.....have i got a start up problem somewhere
