whats happened to my new washer?

could anyone please tell me whats happened to my new beko washer? arrived on the 29th july put it on the 90 degree wash as stated in manual.. did a laod after that..altho it took ages. washed a exspensive pair of trousers on the 30 wash that was fine too. i put the washer on later that afternoon on a 40 cycle then it all packed in? tripped electric out , the light saying ready is lit and thats all. tried pressing the 3 second cancel button but to no avail. what has happened ? one minute its working fine the next its not?? please bare in mind its a day old so im not familiar with it. any answers i'd much appreciate, thanks x
