Mend Low Toilet Bowl Water

Low toilet BOWL water?

I have a Briggs 430-1.6gpi/6Lpf toilet (other two are American Std- so this might have been changed by previous owners). The BOWL water has always seemed very low, just an inch or so above the drain tunnel hole/chute area. No loss of water while not in use, just doesn't fill the bowl very high, leaving most of the bowl waterless.
Is there an easy way to increase the standing water in the BOWL?
Is this just the way this toilet is designed?
Thanks.......... Judy

The water in the bowl only needs to be high enough to form a trap to prevent the backflow of sewage smell. If there's no smell, and I'll presume there isn't since you didn't mention it, then don't worry about it.

Im not sure which type of float / valve type you have, but if you just get a similar one at the hardware store and replace, that should do the trick. You can easily check it by lifting the float, and the valve should open letting water into the tank. See if you can adjust that float, but a new assembly less than $20
