how can I fix my lawnmower?

I have a 16 hp briggs and stratton engine on a murray mower.. sometimes it will mow my whole yard but, but if I shut it off and it will not restart when hot
any suggestions??

We had the same problem with two Hayter mowers with Briggs and Stratton engines and never found a cure except by getting a mower with a Honda engine!
