having replaced the head gasket on a piaggio nrg power dd gone for a short ride both water pipes are hot but the radiator is cold appears to be rubber smell from engine any advice
ok the waterpump is driven by a small belt behind the variator it also runs the oil pump so check this ok as if its broken you need to renew it b4 you ride it.also take the head off and take the thermostat out its screwed inside the head it wont hurt it to be taken out and will eliminate this as a problem.ps the waterpump is right inside the crankcases and cannot be seen easily at all

also i'd check the water pump hasn't seized. if it has water wont circulate.

yep dont use it again until you have found the problem. You may well have a air lock in it drain the water and start again.
