Mend Fiat Punto Transmission Clutch Engine

x reg 2000 1.2 fiat punto?

hi, bought this car few days ago and the man said the clutch had gone because the oil seal had gone so it will not drive. even with this i would expect it to at least put some drag on the engine when i tried pulling off but there is nothing as if it is not getting in gear at all i have never known a clutch 2 be worn that bad that it will not even try to move could this be the problem it needing a new clutch or something to do with the selector??

puntos are bad for clutches they usualy go about 40000 mile, has the head gasket gone yet? they blow at 55000 mile i had one and was plagued with problems. it had only done 60000 miles, my advice is fix it and get rid, good luck

have just done a clutch on a fiesta,not an ounce of movement when in gear,totally burnt out,sounds as if yours is oil contamination,you will have to try and replace the faulty seal that you are on about and would replace the three clutch parts while you are there,mind and give the flywheel a clean with a degreasing fluid,good luck
