Mend Noise Only Driving

rubbing noise only when driving?

i just changed my hub carrier/ swivle hub again!!! and i heard a rubbing noise which gets worse when turning left i have replaced the drive shaft and wishbone and ball joint and tracking rod so all the parts are new then i fitted another new hub carrier and the noise started after i fitted it but it cant be the hub carrier as it is fine, i had my tracking done hoping the noise would go but its the same if anything a little bit worse, i thought it was rubbing on the plastic as some of it looked like it had been rubbing so sorted that out but noise is still theyre, it gets worse and faster as i speed up and is way worse when turning left, im thinking i may have tightened up the castle nut to tight causing the bearings to rub when they get hot and expand but if thats not the problem then i really dont know what it could be?

hopefully this can definatly now give you the best idea of wat is happening, the noise is there when driving straight and is worse when turning left but is pretty much gone wen turning a hard right, and gets louder when braking but then obviously gets quieter when my speed slows and i have checked for play no play in hub and it is definatly coming from front right wheel, also just to let u know the drive shaft is new and the brakes are not close to wearing out, but ive heard there is a warning metal thing in brakes which make a noise to let u know theyre low could it be making this sound? just wondering but i doubt it as like i said my brake pads are not like reli low just to shove another thing to one side thankyou for all the feedback so far its making my life so much easier with deciding wat is wat :)

try jacking up each side and check for play in hub and spin the wheel and listen for roughness, sometimes it is very difficult to decide what wheel it is from, while you are there check the rear also you never know, if you can decide what hub is your problem,go to a motor factors for a bearing, cheaper than a main dealer, but you will need a press to fit the bearing, good luck

oh rite well it was a used one but if it was faulty i dnt see y they would have sold it? if u had to rule out the bearings wat else could it be as im low on cash and am hoping it is not the bearings?

depends if the hub carriers had new bearings fitted,if not would suspect that to be the fault
