Renault Scenic 2002 1.9DCi?

My turbo started making a siren noise so went to the dealer who said it was the turbo. I paid £350 for a fully recon turbo, had it fitted and I still have the siren noise. Can anyone help. Its been driving me mad for the past 11 months. I dont have any lack of performance but the noise is only heard on acceleration.

Sorry I can't answer your question but if you do discover what the problem is please post your findings. I have the same problem with my Scenic 1.9DCi - no real loss of power but a whistling / squealing noise when the engine is under pressure e.g. going uphill or accelerating. I don't want to replace my turbo and then find out it is something else.
