hi there is anybody out there that can tell me if there is a fault owith my x y switch could i lose reverse gear, or am i barking up the wrong tree. any input would be great thanks woody....also i ve changed the oil fillter in the gearbox and checked the oil level all ok..
To prove its capable of reverse. Unplug the electrical connection going into the box. This will prevent any solenoids working when they shouldn't. If still no reverse it's internal. Oh and if it fights reverse and drives forward in 'N' then forward clutch is welded due to slip.
