how can i fix my peugeot 307 abs motor running consatantly?

Peugeot 307 on 05 plate. ABS motor is running constantly. I have removed the plug and ascertained that the heavy wiring supplies earth plus live plus live and finally earth. Should 2 lives be on constantly? Only when one live and 2 earths are connected to the socket does the motor run. second live does not make the motor run. The question is: should there be 2 lives, constantly live all the time? Or is there a sensor fault that is producing the 2 lives at the socket as this is were I located the supply sequence and I may just be producing the same supply pattern as the possible fault. Obviosly I do not want to change what I suspect is a faulty ABS motor. Further is the controller in the ABS unit or elsewhere?
