vauxhall blaupunkt cd30 ?

I haven't got the original radio for my vivaro van, I got a cd30 from a salvage yard with the display both from the same vehicle but the display shows display safe,
How can I get rid of this message?

Hi i am having problem with dc30 radio getting it to work i wont pay for code 30 pound vauxhaul was quoting i bought the car on finance but oviously had the battery off as radio doesnt wrk please can u help much appreciated x

hi everybody, i had a problem with my original radio , so i Went and bought a secondhand one from a dealer and i got the chassinumber for it ! now i have ((safe display)) but i can hear Music nd change chanel ...but i tried many time to press A/S button +of/on the radio and still not gettin any 4 digit to put the code! Any tips ?

The hay88's instructions are for earlier Vauxhall radios.

The CD30 and NCDC201x radios have another security system.

The radio is linked to the display in the car. Should the radio be refitted to another car and display, an error message of "Display Safe" or "Radio Safe".

The solution is to drive to an Opel dealer, they can divorce and remarry the radio with their equipment. Take the radio code with you. If the radio code is lost and the radio is not divorced, an Opel dealer won' be able to activate the radio.

i have done all what it says on the computer and still no luck this is a second stereo i purchased with the code the same model cd30 vauxhall stereo i would like to know how i go about putting the code in and getting the safe mode off.

How do you put your code into your radio on your Vauxhall CD30 if it is in safe mode


1. turn ignition on (dash warning lights on)
2. If radio turned on, turn it off.
3. Press AS button in, and hold it in while turning radio on.
4. Wait approx 10 seconds (do not release AS button).
5. Radio should beep, and display should now read 10 - - - - (assuming no tries have been made in the past with the wrong code)
6. use pre-set button "1" to scroll the first digit in the display to the number you want (it goes 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 then back to 0)
7. Use pre-set "2" for second digit, etc.
8. Once display reads 10 followed by the four digit security code press and hold AS button for about 10 seconds, until the radio beeps.
9. If correct code entered display will now read "code" briefly, followed by"memory-U" briefly, then radio will reprogram it self.
10. If radio goes back to "safe" the code number is incorrect, or you mis-keyed it.

Note: entering the code incorrectly 10 times will render the radio useless.
After the first 3 tries you need to leave the radio on and the ignition on for increasingly long periods of time before it will let you try again. 7 safe need you to wait at least 30 mins, and more like 1 hour.
